I have a new story coming out! And it’s a bit on the unusual side, as is the way to read it. Let me tell you about Spinach 419.
My story is written as a series of blog posts which makes it ideally suited to The Daily Tomorrow, a site of short, serialised fiction. They have very kindly taken my story and will be publishing it stripped across an entire week, starting from Sunday, 27th of July.
It’s not how I expected it to be read but, when I think on it, I do feel that the story has been accidentally built in a way that suits this. It is a series of short posts on my protagonist’s blog where he reports on an ongoing attempt to interact with an email spammer and, over the week, you will get to find out how well that goes for him.
Also, you can get some gardening suggestions but to say any more would count as a spoiler.
I’m intrigued to see how the story comes across, split up in this way, and would be interested in any comments readers have. Do let me know what you thought? Did you read it in sections or did you wait until the end of the week to read it all in one go? Did it make any difference?
Anyhoo, hope you enjoy it, and remember, never answer one of those spam emails.
